Doyle Street is designed for a young family living on the coast. The site faces due north with the living and kitchen space opening out to a large outdoor deck with a dining area, space for children to play and garden.
The high gabled ceilings bring in natural light, ventilation and create a spacious feel. Materials include low maintenance Colorbond cladding, fibre cement cladding and considered hardwood timber detailing.
The design draws its roots from Christopher Alexanders ‘A Pattern Language’ which is a cornerstone in sustainable research and literature.
